Eva Milroy

Eva has been living in Dumfries & Galloway since 1989. Originally from Hamburg, Germany, she came to the UK as an Au-pair to learn English. After gaining her BA (Hons) in Politics/Economic & Social History from Leicester University she moved to Stranraer to work for Stena Line. After many years in the travel and tourism industry in Scotland and the North of England Eva has been working in various roles that link business with education. She is very aware of the challenges and opportunities businesses across all sectors are facing in a rural region like Dumfries & Galloway. She is currently working within External Development of Dumfries & Galloway College, based in Dumfries.
Though not an artist herself, Eva is very supportive of the creative industries. She see the benefits and contributions the creative sector makes to the local economy, but also realises the issues it has. Eva is particularly interested in supporting young people into the sector, creating training opportunities for creative businesses to be viable and to develop and foster international links.
