Photographer and filmmaker Colin Tennant will be discussing tips and tricks for creating good quality movies using multiple devices that include mobile phones, point and shoot cameras and DSL cameras with the aim of explaining why films and videos can be an excellent tool to interpret and showcase an artists’ practice as well as being used for marketing and engaging with online audiences.

Topics covered will include: storytelling, shot selection, composition and sound. Please note that this is not a technical workshop, no previous filmmaking skills are required however participants must have some working knowledge of how to shoot moving image on their chosen device.

Upland members that attend this session will have the chance to book into a 1:1 30-minute advice session with Colin. These will allow for more in depth technical support. There will be a limited number of these sessions available and these will be on a first-come-first-basis. Attendees will be invited to contact Upland after this advice session to book this free 1:1 session.
