Since COVID-19, exhibitions and events have been cancelled which have affected many of our members. We have also not been able to welcome visitors to our magnificent region of Dumfries & Galloway as we normally would. So, we have taken the opportunity to support our members with a selling exhibition and also take a slice of D&G to you in your homes.

We were delighted to showcase work by 38 Upland members spanning a range of disciplines and approaches. Exhibitors included:

Alison Corfield, Alistair Hamilton, Amanda Simmons, Andy Priestman, Angela Lawrence, Ann Smith, Caroline Hone, Carolyn Richardson, Catherine Coulson, Colin Blanchard, Deborah Campbell, Denise Zygadlo, Doug Fitch, Emily Tough, Gail Kelly, Hannah McAndrew, Hazel Campbell, Heather Armstrong, Heather Blanchard, Heather Davies, Helen Ryman, Helen Walsh, Hugh Bryden, Janet O’Donnell, Jennie Ashmore, Jo Gallant, Julie Hollis, Laura Derby, Lisa Hooper, Lizzie Farey, Pamela Grace, Phil McMenemy, Rosie Dobson, Sarah Keast, Sarah Stewart, Sheena McMaster, Tricia Barna and Val Macadam.

The theme of this exhibition was A Postcard from D&G for which works aimed to showcase and celebrate our special region. Participating artists and makers were asked to produce new work which would reflect their interpretation of the region, their favourite location/scene or what the region means to them, and to think about what postcards normally depict and what they are used to say.

The exhibition is now closed.

A private view for those signed up to the Upland mailing list launched on Sunday 23rd August online. Those on the mailing list were sent the password to view the exhibition via the mailing list on Sunday. This was a great success with a large number of works purchased during the Private View!
