Rebecca J Woods Ceramics

At the heart of my work is Mishima, a traditional inlay technique where coloured slip is worked into carved lines and impressions, creating quiet pattern and depth.

I make both functional and decorative ceramics for the home, using my own glazes in muted, soft tones. Surface decoration through fluting, and imprinting using found objects and handmade clay stamps.

As a VACMA recipient, I am currently developing a body of work centred on childhood memories.
