Julie Hollis

I am multidisciplinary artist inspired by nature. I work between analogue and digital art forms, using paint, print, textiles and collage to create landscapes that follow the flow of the seasons. My work shows both the strength and the fragility of the landscape, often in the same image. Recently I have been focusing on digital collage, building layers of photographed texture over known landscapes. I enjoy playing with the effects of light on a scene, often braving storms to capture their drama.

My studio is in Kirkcudbright town centre, and is open by appointment, during organised events and often on sunny days.
