#SFRM 2016 Film Screening
5.7.2016
13th July 2016
New film commissioned to show the process behind SFRM 2016

A new film has been commissioned by Upland to capture Spring Fling Rural Mural (SFRM). The project, which is a collaboration with urban art specialists Recoat, involved creating six large and colourful murals on three buildings in the depths of the Dumfries and Galloway countryside and three more in the urban hearts of Glasgow, Berlin and Newcastle.
The film by Emma Dove exposes the essence of the project and highlights it's theme of exchange. This theme explores the exchange of skills and knowledge between artists, urban to rural in artform and sites, the journeys the artists travelled both home and away and the offering of art to site owners who offered up their site in return.
The film will be screened at The Stove on 13th July, 6-8pm. It will also run on a loop all day at The Stove the following day.
The film screening is free but places are limited - you can book a free ticket for the event here.
