Applications are now open to take part in the television competition, Sky Arts Landscape Artist of the Year. Featuring stunning locations around the UK, the competition offers artists the chance to win a £10,000 commission for a major British institution and £500 of art materials from Cass Art.

Hosted by Joan Bakewell and Stephen Mangan, both competitions will be judged by award-winning artist Tai Shan Schierenberg, independent curator Kathleen Soriano, and art historian Kate Bryan.

Despite the ongoing Covid19 restrictions, they are still planning to go ahead with this year's Landscape Artist of the Year competition, with filming postponed until July and August 2020

Landscape Artist of the Year is open to amateur or professional artists aged 16 or over. The deadline is 29th May 2020.
