Day 23 - Tuesday 24th of May

We saw a crazy amount of tadpoles on our way to the cars!

Final Day - Saturday 28th of May

This is the last planned day of building, the last pieces of timber are brought to the site to finish off the roof and close in as much of the inner space as we can.

Abby and Robert work aloft, stapling plastic DPC strips over the joints at the angles of rhe roof and then covering them with square edged planks.

Josh and I measure and cut the pieces for the rooftop workers then build the wall till we have used up all the remaining boards. It gets us to about waist height on the uphill side wall, behind Josh in this picture.

Since we started on site, back in April, the trees at Taliesin have come into full leaf and new bracken is pushing through the dead ground cover. It is a beautiful place and such a pleasure to be working in it.

After lunch we measure up and plan the steps which will be made at the workshop. They will be on the left-hand end of the picture below. We clear up and carry everything except a large pile of firewood back to the trailer. Then we head to Designs for cake!

Amazing work by everyone, well done!
