Day 12 – Saturday 9th of April

Beautiful day but a little cold. The plan for the day is to fix all the floor joists and bolt in the two corner posts. If we get that far we can start thinking about the area around the main tree which we should be able to walk right around.

On the way up the hill Roberts spots a Slow Worm. Such a pleasure to see it.

Abby and Josh start notching out the corner posts.

Robert trims away the branches that would be in the way. While he is up in the tree he takes the shot of the floor joists from above.

The treehouse starts to emerge from the trees.

By the afternoon we have the posts attached and the joists in the main area between the trees and have started to extend the joists around the main tree.

On Tuesday, we will finish the joists and get the flooring started. Also, we will start looking at the upper, wallhead level which will stabilise the structure and, if it works as we think it should, we should be able to cut the lower section of the posts out.
