Jayne has spent the last 25 years working as a sustainable development advisor and practitioner, focusing on capacity building, stakeholder engagement and facilitation for projects at a local, national and European level.

She is currently an independent advisor on policy development, project delivery and scrutiny, with particular specialist knowledge relating to the impacts of climate change, land use and natural resources.

Having worked in the public and private sector at Board and senior management level she was able to follow a dream in 2014, moving to a small farm in Dumfries and Galloway.  Here she raises rare breed sheep and continues to explore and experiment with the beauty of working with greenwood and glass.

She is particularly interested in the individual and community ‘sense of place’ and how we reflect and interpret our connection with the land. She sees Upland as an immense opportunity to harness visual arts and crafts as a way to think about and enhance the area in which we live and work and is excited to be contributing to its development
